-

-
Who handles payroll, and what's included?
Smooth Transitions manages payroll in-house using DATEV, the leading German payroll software, to report data to all relevant German social insurance carriers and to process monthly payroll. This includes:
- Processing the monthly paycheck, including salary changes, bonuses, allowances, and lump-sum payments
- Reimbursement of certain expenses
- Processing employees' social security contributions
- Managing statutory benefits such as maternity leave and sick pay
-
Are bonuses/commissions supported?

What does the process actually look like, step by step?

Once the contract is approved by all parties and duly signed, Smooth Transitions simultaneously collects the employee's data. After registering the employee in DATEV and reporting the required information to the relevant social insurance carriers, the employee is ready to receive their first paycheck, typically by the last week of the calendar month.
